Today was the centenary of Roger Casement's execution at Pentonville Prison in London England. A commemoration organised by the London Easter 1916 Centenary Committee was held at 8am this morning outside the prison. The were various speeches and  the Banna Strand and Amhrán na bhFiann sung by those present. The recital of Casement final statement  and the Proclamation were excellent. Finally a wreath was laid in his honour. RIP Roger Casement , the last of the 1916 leaders to be executed by the British in 1916.Here is to the island of Ireland. Lets realise and reclaim 1916.
